About The Position

Phoenix Home Care is hiring a full-time Caregiver in Springfield, Missouri, and surrounding areas to provide one-on-one care to geriatric clients in their homes. Caregivers work with a smaller number of clients and can control their schedules and travel time. The role requires working multiple two- and three-hour shifts, building a schedule with multiple clients, and meeting a mandatory weekend requirement of one weekend per month. The position offers full-time hours, starting pay of $17 per hour, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Caregivers help clients with daily living and higher-acuity needs while providing companionship and emotional support. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Have a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Pass a background check.
Pass a drug test.
Be willing to work multiple two- and three-hour shifts and build a schedule with multiple clients.
Meet the mandatory weekend requirement of one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Support clients with transfers, using equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
Provide feeding assistance and prepare meals.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ conditions.
Perform light housekeeping.
Provide medication reminders.
Run errands.
