FULL-TIME Caregiver / $1000 Sign On Bonus
About The Position
Phoenix Home Care is hiring a full-time Caregiver in Springfield, Missouri, and surrounding areas, to provide one-on-one care to geriatric clients in their homes. Caregivers work with a smaller number of clients and can control their schedules and travel time. The role requires willingness to work multiple two- and three-hour shifts, build a schedule with multiple clients, and meet the mandatory weekend requirement of one weekend per month. The posting offers starting pay of $17 per hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Caregivers support clients with daily living and higher-acuity needs, provide companionship, and help maintain clients’ care. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a drug test.
- Be willing to work multiple two- and three-hour shifts and build a schedule with multiple clients.
- Meet the mandatory weekend requirement of one weekend per month.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Support clients with higher-acuity needs, including transfers using gait belts or Hoyer lifts.
- Provide feeding assistance and prepare meals.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ conditions.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Run errands.
