About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow their care plans. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties, and the stated work location is Oakbrook, Illinois. The position is in-person and may be full-time, part-time, or live-in. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience; caregiving experience is required.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including during appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
