About The Position
Right at Home is seeking dedicated Caregivers to support seniors and adults with disabilities in the Coachella Valley, Yucca Valley, Morongo Valley, and Joshua Tree areas. In this Personal Care Assistant role, you will provide personal care and support with clients’ activities of daily living. The employer says it provides personal protective equipment and comprehensive support, and offers an opportunity to advance a career with an international home care provider with over 25 years of industry experience. The position is available full-time and part-time in the Yucca Valley, California area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, as required for the role.
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance and registration.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with mobility and safe transfers throughout the home.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, laundry, changing bed linens, and general bathroom sanitation.
- Prepare meals and snacks according to client instructions.
- Accompany clients on errands and to medical appointments.
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Facilitate prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
- Deliver specialized dementia care.
- Provide companionship through activities such as reading, music, and puzzles.
