About The Position

Villa Redondo Care, an 80-bed assisted living facility serving adults ages 59 and older in downtown Long Beach, California, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver. The role supports residents with the basic needs of a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), including assistance with activities of daily living. The facility is willing to train. The posted part-time schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays; the description also says full-time and part-time positions are available in various shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass the DOJ/FBI Live Scan criminal background clearance required by licensing.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
Experience in caregiving and medical administration is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with residents’ basic needs in an RCFE.
Complete daily assignments and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Communicate clearly, calmly, and effectively with residents, families, and the Wellness Coordinator about changes or resident concerns.
Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
Document progressively and communicate with physicians and/or other medical professionals.
Work with medical professionals to help reduce residents’ pain while promoting engagement and independence.
Maintain composure during emergencies.
Maintain a safe work environment.
