About The Position

The Caregiver provides in-home support to clients, helping with medication, mobility, personal care, exercises, shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The role also involves gathering information about clients’ conditions and treatment plans, communicating unusual incidents to appropriate parties, and responding responsibly to emergencies. The position is intended for a Spanish-speaking bilingual caregiver in Inwood, WV.

Requirements

Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
Outstanding communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Spanish-speaking bilingual ability, as indicated by the role title.

Nice To Haves

Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping clients cannot complete themselves, including preparing meals.
Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members.
Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors, and family members.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
