Hurricane Area Caregivers Needed-flexible schedule
About The Position
Visiting Angels is hiring compassionate and dependable CAREgivers to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors, helping them remain safe and comfortable at home while maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life. The position involves building meaningful relationships with clients and providing support tailored to their daily needs. Paid orientation, comprehensive training, and ongoing support are provided, including training in dementia and palliative care. Experienced CAREgivers may participate in a six-week mentoring program to help onboard new team members. Assignments are made throughout Kanawha, Putnam, and Cabell counties in West Virginia, Scioto County in Ohio, and surrounding communities, with local assignments matched near the caregiver’s home whenever possible. This is a part-time, on-the-road position. The stated base pay is $13–$18 per hour based on experience; the job-type listing states $13–$16 per hour, with additional shift differentials and bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- Be reliable and dependable.
- Be compassionate, patient, and caring, with a passion for helping others.
- Provide reliable transportation.
- Have a valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Complete a background check and drug screening as a condition of an offer.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience is not required; paid orientation and training are provided.
- Experienced CAREgivers may participate in a six-week mentoring program.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Assist with errands and appointments.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Support clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Experienced CAREgivers who join the mentoring program guide and support new team members.
