About The Position

The Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) assists residents with aspects of daily living specified in their care plans, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities. This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position reporting to the Health & Wellness Director. The schedule is every Friday through Monday, with a shift of either 7 a.m.–3 p.m. or 3 p.m.–11 p.m. The salary range is $21.00–$22.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA).
• Ability to perform the physical activities of the job, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and intermittently lifting and supporting residents.
• Use proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population; dementia experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in care plans.
• Maintain residents’ safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Escort residents to meals and activities.
• Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
• Document all services provided to assigned residents during the shift.
• Immediately report any change in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
