About The Position

Silverado is hiring a compassionate Caregiver to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role combines empathy, reliability, and relationship-building to help residents live with dignity and joy in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. The Caregiver assists with daily living activities, builds relationships with residents, families, and team members, maintains accurate care records, and reports changes to the nursing team. This is a full-time PM-shift position with variable days, scheduled from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable.

Requirements

Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfort working around animals and pets.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
