Full Time Caregiver (PM)
About The Position
Silverado San Juan Capistrano is hiring a full-time Caregiver to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role combines compassionate care, reliability, and relationship-building to help residents live with dignity and joy in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. Caregivers assist residents with activities of daily living, build relationships with residents, families, and team members, maintain accurate care records, and report changes to the nursing team. The position is active and involves walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The schedule is a PM shift on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; holiday and weekend availability is preferred. Requirements
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to perform active work involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working around animals and pets.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
- Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions is preferred but not required.
- Holiday and weekend availability preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
- Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
- Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
