About The Position

Griswold Home Care is hiring part-time caregivers to support older adults in Carroll County, Maryland, and nearby Pennsylvania towns. Caregivers help clients remain comfortable, independent, and dignified in their homes by assisting with everyday tasks. Duties may include light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and helping clients with eating and bathing. Some clients may have dementia or other memory changes, requiring patience and kindness. Caregivers maintain clear, accurate shift notes and communicate regularly with the office to support consistent care.

Requirements

Be reliable, compassionate, and genuinely interested in helping others.
CPR certification is required.
TB clearance is required per CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations.
A valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration are required.
Must be willing to travel within Carroll County.
Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
Must be comfortable working in pet-friendly homes, including homes with cats and dogs.

Nice To Haves

CNA certification is a plus but is not required.
At least one year of caregiving or home care experience is preferred.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Help older adults remain independent and comfortable in their homes.
