About The Position
Griswold Home Care for Carroll County is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care to clients in Carroll County, Maryland, nearby communities, and Hanover, Pennsylvania. Caregivers support clients with daily personal care, household tasks, meals, shopping, transportation, and dementia or memory care. They also keep families and the office team informed about care. The role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid time off and holiday pay, insurance options, mileage reimbursement, learning and development opportunities, bonus programs, and around-the-clock office support. The position is part-time.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, reliable, and responsible, and take pride in your work.
- CPR certification is required.
- Obtain TB clearance in accordance with CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations.
- Have a valid driver’s license and a dependable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration.
- Be willing to travel within Frederick County.
- Successfully complete a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is a plus but is not required.
- At least one year of caregiving or home care experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Be comfortable working in pet-friendly homes, including homes with cats and dogs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Perform light housekeeping and prepare meals.
- Shop for groceries and transport clients to appointments.
- Provide dementia and memory care support.
- Share timely care updates with clients’ families and the office team.
