About The Position
Amada Senior Care is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home assistance to seniors and veterans in Channelview, Texas, and surrounding communities. Caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Applicants must be willing to travel within a 20-mile radius. Part-time opportunities are available, with flexible scheduling, including weekend and overnight opportunities. Orientation and training are provided in the office.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
- Willingness to work with both male and female clients.
- Ability and willingness to travel within a 20-mile radius.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Hoyer lifts and gait belts (preferred but not required).
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with mobility, errands, and appointments.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition.
- Encourage clients' independence and participation in daily activities.
