About The Position
Amada Senior Care is hiring experienced caregivers to provide compassionate, non-medical care and companionship to seniors and veterans in their homes in Lufkin, Texas, and surrounding areas. Care is tailored to each client's individual needs and supports safety, comfort, independence, dignity, and quality of life. The employer offers flexible scheduling and opportunities described as full-time, part-time, weekend, and overnight.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
- Be compassionate, dependable, and professional.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Be willing to travel throughout Lufkin and surrounding communities.
- Have strong communication skills and a positive, caring attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Hoyer lifts and gait belts.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with mobility and transfers.
- Transport clients to appointments and errands.
- Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
- Promote client independence, dignity, and quality of life.
