About The Position
Amada Senior Care is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home assistance to seniors and veterans in Channelview, Texas, and surrounding communities. Caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. The role requires travel within a 20-mile radius and includes part-time, weekend, and overnight opportunities, with flexible scheduling and in-office orientation and training.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
- Willingness to work with both male and female clients.
- Ability and willingness to travel within a 20-mile radius.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Hoyer lifts and gait belts.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with mobility, errands, and appointments.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition.
- Encourage independence and participation in daily activities.
