About The Position
McLeod Home Care, a non-medical home care agency, is hiring experienced, caring, and compassionate Care Professionals to provide customized support to clients. Care responsibilities vary by assignment and care plan and may include personal care, companionship, household tasks, transportation, and monitoring clients’ well-being. Starting pay is $18.25 per hour. After working more than 16 hours per week for four consecutive weeks, the pay rate increases by $1 per hour. Positions are available full-time and part-time, with shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, Monday through Sunday. Day, night, and overnight shifts are available, and flexible scheduling is offered. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Any state-mandated certification.
- Must pass a drug test and background check.
- At least 1 to 2+ years of adult personal care assistance experience.
- At least 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
- If transporting clients, must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license, current vehicle registration and insurance, and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals and snacks.
- Provide transportation and errand services.
- Monitor client conditions and update care notes.
- Provide dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Provide companion care.
- Conduct home safety inspections.
