About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home support to aging adults in Lake Oswego and surrounding communities. Caregivers help clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role offers day, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts, with full-time and part-time availability. TheKey describes its local teams as providing support to caregivers and a white-glove experience for clients, with a focus on promoting seniors’ quality of life, health, and well-being.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of professional caregiving experience.
• Experience with Alzheimer's or dementia.
• Empathy, compassion, and kindness.
• Ability to use sound judgment and remain calm in a variety of situations.
• Reliability, dependability, and punctuality.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to drive clients, with a vehicle, car insurance, and registration.
• Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
• Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
• Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
• Provide companionship and social and emotional support through activities such as games and puzzles.
