About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home care and support for aging adults. Caregivers help clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role offers flexible schedules, full-time and part-time availability, and multiple shifts. Caregivers must meet state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States. Qualified caregivers may often begin working within 3–5 days after orientation.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
HCA Registration with the State of California, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration upon hire.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Applicants must meet California fingerprint identification requirements; a conditional offer will be rescinded for a non-exemptible conviction, in compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and grocery shop.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
