Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical assistance to mostly older adults in their homes in Summit County, Ohio. Work includes help with bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, companionship, and mobility. Caregivers do not administer medication or perform medical tasks. Most care takes place between 8 AM and 5 PM, with many shifts lasting 2–6 hours. Shifts may be as short as 2–3 hours or as long as 8 hours. Candidates specify their available days and times during a phone interview, and clients are matched to that availability and to stated travel limits and preferences. Caregivers generally have 2–4 regular clients after matching, with optional fill-in shifts. The position requires at least 20 hours per week and availability within 6 AM–8 PM, with the caregiver setting their own work window. The posting notes that narrower availability or other preferences may make matching take longer. Pay depends on credentials and experience: $18/hour for an STNA; $16–$18/hour for an HHA certificate or qualifying experience; and $16/hour after the free training pathway. Referred private-pay clients may qualify for higher rates. Holiday work pays an additional 10%. Pay is every two weeks by direct deposit, and drive time between clients is paid; travel to the first client and from the last client is unpaid. The posting also describes performance raises and attendance and referral bonuses. Qualification paths include an active or expired STNA license; a qualifying HHA certificate; at least one year of experience at one company under an RN or LPN; or free 32-hour online training for applicants without experience. Certain applicants must complete an Ohio-required written and skills test in person at the Cuyahoga Falls office. The hiring process includes a phone conversation, online questionnaire, testing if needed, online paperwork and orientation, document check, and fingerprinting. The role is physically demanding: caregivers are on their feet most of the day and help clients move around. Applicants need a driver's license, their own car with insurance that covers work driving, successful background checks, legal authorization to work in the U.S., and must be at least 18 years old. This is a W-2 position. The employer states that it does not offer PTO, a 401(k), or health insurance.
