About The Position

Silverado San Juan Capistrano is hiring a full-time Caregiver to provide hands-on support to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-impairing conditions. The role calls for compassion, reliability, patience, integrity, and a team-focused approach, with an emphasis on helping residents live with dignity and joy. The schedule is Friday through Monday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., on the AM shift. Flexible availability for weekends and holidays is preferred. The anticipated pay range is $21–$24 USD. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable.

Requirements

Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Able to perform active work involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working around animals and pets.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions preferred but not required.
Flexible availability for weekends and holidays preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and dining.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.
