Caregiver/Support Specialist – Adult Day Program
About The Position
Starkey is hiring a Caregiver/Support Specialist for its Day Support Program on the main Wichita campus. The role supports adults with disabilities who may experience challenging behaviors in a structured daytime program. The specialist uses positive behavior strategies to help individuals build life skills, make progress toward their goals, and participate in daily routines and activities. The position involves hands-on support and collaboration with a supportive team. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no overnight shifts. New hires must be available for two to four weeks of paid training, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or WorkKeys Bronze Certificate.
- Valid driver's license.
- Availability for two to four weeks of paid training, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- Bilingual ability in ASL or Spanish (optional).
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral and daily support to adults with disabilities in a day program setting.
- Implement behavior support plans and encourage positive choices.
- Teach social, communication, and coping skills.
- Assist with personal care and daily routines as needed.
- Engage individuals in structured activities and participate in community outings and activities.
- Work with a team to help individuals reach their goals.
