Part- Time Caregiver or CNA
About The Position
Stay in Home Care & Medical Staffing is hiring part-time Caregivers / Home Health Aides to provide personalized care to individuals in their homes in Milford, Iowa, and surrounding areas. The role supports seniors and individuals with disabilities in maintaining their independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. CNA certification is preferred but not required; applicants with caregiving experience and those who are passionate about helping others are welcome. Scheduling is flexible based on client needs, and various shifts are available. Pay is competitive, based on experience, qualifications, and certifications, and is paid bi-weekly.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, patient, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and follow individualized care plans.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, when applicable.
- Proof of automobile insurance, when applicable.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is preferred but not required.
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement.
- Assist with meal preparation and daily household activities.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
- Provide mobility assistance and support with daily routines.
- Observe and report changes in clients' health, behavior, or overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Respect client privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Promote client independence, safety, and dignity.
