About The Position

Healthcare Plus Homemakers is hiring full-time and part-time Homemakers to support clients throughout Illinois. The agency provides in-home care for individuals age 59 and under with disabilities, helping them live safely, comfortably, and independently in their homes. Caregivers are described as valued and respected members of a supportive, flexible work environment.

As a Homemaker, you will assist clients with daily tasks, tailoring support to each client's needs while maintaining their comfort and dignity. No medical experience is required.

Requirements

• Valid ID or driver's license.
• Social Security card.
• High school diploma or GED; a substitute form is available for applicants without a diploma or GED.
• Dependability, patience, and a caring approach.
• Compassion and respect for clients.
• Strong communication skills.
• Patience and empathy.
• Good organization and time management.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide light housekeeping.
• Do laundry.
• Shop for groceries.
• Prepare meals.
• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide light lifting and transferring when needed.
• Offer respectful, compassionate companionship.
• Tailor support to each client's needs to ensure their comfort and dignity.
