About The Position
Assisted Family Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers and companions to assist clients with disabilities in their homes. The organization provides care to aged, ill, or disabled people to help them maintain independence in their daily routines and enjoy an enhanced quality of life in familiar surroundings. This role serves Special Needs members with a variety of ages and disabilities, including Down Syndrome, autistic disorders, and moderate intellectual disabilities. Services are needed in Nashville, Madison, Hermitage, Columbia, Antioch, Clarksville, Murfreesboro, Brentwood, Franklin, Springfield, and Hendersonville. Various shifts are available, including full schedules and part-time schedules.
Requirements
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every day.
- Ability to pass abuse registry, criminal background, and motor vehicle background checks.
- At least 1 year of prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or an in-home care environment.
- Supportive and compassionate.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and participate in activities with clients.
- Run errands for clients.
- Provide personal care.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living in their homes.
- Enforce health and safety standards.
