About The Position

Rockwell Care Services is hiring a Weekend Caregiver to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Pocatello, Idaho. The role helps residents live safe, fulfilling, and independent lives through companionship, personal care, household assistance, medication reminders, transportation, community activities, and daily living skills instruction. The position has a consistent weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Pay is $14–$15 per hour, depending on experience. Paid training is provided. Rockwell Care Services’ mission is to help individuals with disabilities live with dignity, independence, and purpose, while supporting and empowering its employees.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Pass required background checks.
• Be compassionate and dependable, patient and respectful, comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and organized with good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of paid caregiving experience or one year of unpaid caregiving experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, seniors, or other vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Prepare meals and help with household tasks.
• Assist with medication reminders.
• Transport residents to activities and appointments when needed.
• Participate in community outings and recreational activities.
• Teach daily living skills that encourage independence.
