About The Position

At HomeWell Care Services of NWI, Caregivers provide compassionate, one-on-one, non-medical in-home support to seniors and others who wish to age in place. The role focuses on enhancing clients’ quality of life with empathy, excellence, and integrity, while building relationships through companionship and assistance with daily activities. Full-time and part-time options are available.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Have daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Provide proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test as required by the State of Indiana.
Be physically able to perform the job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Perform light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, cooking, and meal preparation.
Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Offer standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
