About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide individualized, one-on-one, non-medical in-home support for seniors and others who wish to age in place. Caregivers help clients with daily living tasks, companionship, transportation, and safety assistance while building relationships and supporting quality of life with empathy, excellence, and integrity. Full-time and part-time options are available.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Have daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Provide proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
Be physically able to perform the duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Perform light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Provide standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
