About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide individualized, non-medical in-home care and companionship to seniors and others who want to age in place. Caregivers work one-on-one with clients, helping enhance their quality of life with empathy, excellence, and integrity. Full-time and part-time options are available. Compensation is $16.00–$17.00 per hour; applicants are encouraged to apply to learn more about competitive compensation.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Proof of a current, negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Compassion for older adults.
Excellent communication skills.
Maturity, caring demeanor, punctuality, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled people.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Provide light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Provide standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
Perform other care as needed.
