About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical in-home support to seniors and others who want to age in place. The role focuses on enhancing clients’ quality of life through empathetic, excellent, and reliable care, while building relationships through companionship and individualized assistance. Full-time and part-time options are available. Compensation is $16.00–$17.00 per hour. The franchise is independently owned and operated, and hiring decisions are made by the local franchisee.

Requirements

• No healthcare certification is required.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Compassion for older adults.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Maturity, caring, punctuality, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Assist with transfers through standby support.
• Provide overnight safety assistance.
• Provide other care as needed.
