About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical in-home support to seniors and other clients who want to age in place. The role focuses on enhancing clients’ quality of life through empathetic, excellent, and reliable care while building relationships with them. Full-time or part-time options are available.

Requirements

No healthcare certification is required.
Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
Proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
A compassionate heart for older adults.
Excellent communication skills.
Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
Experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

Provide social companionship.
Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
Provide light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Provide standby assistance with transfers.
Provide overnight safety assistance.
Provide other care as needed.
