Caregiver/CNA or HHA -- Flexible Shifts & Benefits
About The Position
BrightStar Care of St. Croix Valley & Hudson is hiring dependable caregivers to provide one-on-one care to seniors and adults who want to remain safely in their homes. The position serves clients throughout Washington County and St. Croix County and requires local travel. Caregivers receive support from the leadership team and nurse oversight, along with ongoing training and career-development opportunities. HHA training and certification and opportunities for advancement are available. The posting describes weekday morning shifts from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and weekday evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as well as available weekend shifts. Additional weekday opportunities may be available. Pay is $21.00–$23.00 per hour, with premium pay available for short shifts and weekly pay by direct deposit.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current CPR certification.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed, up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of caregiving experience is preferred.
- Experience as a caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Personal Care Aide, Resident Assistant, Direct Support Professional (DSP), or Companion Caregiver.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and safety supervision.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities.
- Help with light household tasks and meal preparation as needed.
- Observe and report changes in client condition to the Director of Nursing.
- Follow individualized care plans while maintaining client dignity and independence.
