The Career Navigator assists clients in creating and following through with a career navigation plan to achieve goals and work towards self-sufficiency. This role involves mentoring clients, determining their immediate and long-term needs, assessing employability, identifying barriers and assets to self-sufficiency, providing job coaching, communicating with service providers to evaluate client progress, offering counsel and guidance, and maintaining regular face-to-face contact with clients. The position requires substantial knowledge of coaching and mentoring to foster successful program participants with creativity, leadership ability, and strong oral and written communication skills. The Career Navigator is responsible for identifying risks, developing preventative strategies, assisting clients in learning life skills, and implementing a leadership framework.
