About The Position
Calyx Living is seeking energetic Care Staff for its assisted living community in North Durham. Care Staff assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs, while maintaining a safety-first attitude toward residents and staff. The role is for the 1st shift and requires weekend availability.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Must have compassion and a desire to work with seniors.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
- Strong sense of maturity.
- Ability to adapt to each resident and setting.
- Trustworthy and attentive.
- Must have a safety-first attitude toward residents and staff.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiver experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ self-administration of medication.
- Ensure resident hygiene.
- Obtain and record residents’ vital signs.
- Maintain residents’ safety.
- Complete incident reports.
- Assist with meal services.
- Observe residents for changes in condition.
- Assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs.
