About The Position

As a Care Partner, you will support elders in a senior living community by providing personal care, monitoring and documenting health or behavioral changes, and offering emotional support and companionship. You will assist with meals, social and recreational activities, communication with elders, families, team members, and guests, and light housekeeping. The role is for overnight memory care, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Provide licensing documentation if required by the state.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, potentially using walkers and wheelchairs.
• Observe, document, and report changes in elders’ health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support, conversation, active listening, and companionship to elders experiencing loneliness, anxiety, or other challenges.
• Help elders with meals and feed those who need additional support.
• Support elders in life-enriching social and recreational activities.
• Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping, such as tidying and maintaining general cleanliness.
