About The Position
Cogir Senior Living is hiring a part-time Care Partner for The Virginian by Cogir. Care Partners provide compassionate, personalized direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and supporting their comfort, safety, and well-being. The role promotes residents’ independence, privacy, and dignity and contributes to a supportive, nurturing team environment. Morning and evening shifts are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current caregiver training or certification as required by state regulations, such as CNA, GNA, PCA, or DCA, or willingness and ability to obtain it.
- Current First Aid and CPR license, or ability to obtain them.
- At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
- Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
- Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
- Willingness to participate in a weekend rotation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with memory care is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, while following community protocols, licensing regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Provide compassionate care, engagement, companionship, and emotional support while prioritizing residents’ independence.
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in life enrichment activity programs.
- Perform light housekeeping, such as making beds and tidying rooms.
- Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
