About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Care Partner at The Virginian by Cogir. The role provides compassionate, personalized direct care to residents, supporting their activities of daily living and promoting comfort, safety, and well-being. Care Partners encourage independence, protect residents’ privacy and dignity, and work as part of a team to create a supportive, nurturing environment. This is a part-time position with morning and evening shifts available.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current caregiver training or certification per state requirements, such as CNA/GNA/PCA/DCA, or willingness and ability to obtain it.
Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain them.
At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.

Nice To Haves

Experience with memory care is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, as needed, while following community protocols, licensing regulations, and safety guidelines.
Support residents’ independence and emotional well-being through compassionate care, engagement, and companionship.
Encourage and assist residents in participating in life enrichment activities.
Perform light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and tidying rooms.
Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
