Female Care Assistant - Extra Care
About The Position
Cera is recruiting Care Assistants for its Extra Care service in Portsmouth, supporting residents across Caroline Square, Milton Village and Brunel Court. The role involves helping residents with varying needs to live as independently as possible, following personalised care and support plans. Depending on each resident’s needs, support may include housework, getting up, preparing or providing a hot meal, medication, washing and dressing, companionship and encouragement. The role is open to women only because clients have the right to request a carer of a specific sex for intimate care. The position is available as a permanent part-time or full-time role, on day or night shifts. Carers must be flexible across different shifts and commit to alternating weekends. No previous experience is required; caring experience is desirable. Work is arranged in block shifts with no travel required during a shift. Cera uses technology, including predictive technology and risk alerts, to streamline administrative tasks and support care teams in making decisions and taking swift action. The company says this approach helps reduce hospitalisations and the risk of falls.
