About The Position

This is a travel Cardiovascular Technologist (Echo Tech) position located in Saint Helena, California. The role involves performing echocardiographic exams in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least two years of recent experience in the field
• Current nursing license as required by the state of assignment
• Ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital environment
• Eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Echocardiography certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up ultrasound equipment and prepare patients for echocardiography, including attaching leads and applying gels
• Create and optimize images of the heart, chambers, valves and vessels to assess function and diagnose conditions
• Perform echocardiographic exams including transthoracic studies and treadmill/stress echocardiography as indicated
• Review patient records, interview patients, adapt imaging techniques, and collaborate with cardiologists on findings
• Maintain equipment, manage inventories, restock supplies, and ensure accurate data entry in the appropriate systems
• Provide patient care and instruction, protect patient confidentiality, and uphold safety and infection control standards
