About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist specializing in pediatric echocardiography in Boston, MA. The position is temporary, lasting approximately 22 weeks, with guaranteed 32 hours per week. The role involves performing pediatric echocardiography studies in a hospital setting, primarily within an outpatient pediatric imaging department, with occasional coverage of inpatient units, the ED, and NICU. The EMR system used is EPIC Hyperspace with Cadence Scheduling.

Requirements

Active ARDMS RDCS-PE certification
BLS certification
Minimum 2+ years of pediatric echocardiography/sonography experience
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced pediatric imaging setting
Experience with pediatric echocardiography and comfort with EPIC Hyperspace Cadence Scheduling

Nice To Haves

Fetal echocardiography experience

Responsibilities

Perform pediatric echocardiography studies, including transthoracic echocardiograms and, when applicable, fetal echocardiography, ensuring high-quality image acquisition.
Work independently in the outpatient pediatric imaging department and provide coverage for inpatient, ED, and NICU as needed.
Manage data capture and upload related data (Holter and blood pressure device results) into the patient’s chart and ensure timely documentation.
Apply imaging protocols, optimize images, and communicate findings to the cardiology team; document results in EPIC Hyperspace Cadence Scheduling.
Adhere to safety, infection control, and privacy standards; maintain equipment and verify calibration and cleaning per policy.
