About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist (Echo Tech) in Saint Johnsbury Center, Vermont. The role focuses on performing high-quality diagnostic echocardiography studies and supporting patient-centered cardiovascular care in a community-focused, acute-care environment within a critical access hospital. The position involves providing coverage for inpatient, outpatient, ED, and surgical needs.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Minimum one year of echocardiography experience.
Travel experience required.
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and echocardiographic imaging techniques.
Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and care teams.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies according to departmental protocols and professional standards.
Obtain diagnostic-quality images and measurements to support interpretation by cardiologists, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Use clinical judgment to evaluate patient history, optimize imaging, recognize significant abnormalities, and communicate urgent findings when appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical settings.
