About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist at a short-term acute care facility in Lodi, California. The assignment is for 12 weeks, starting on 08/17/2026. The role involves assisting the surgical team, maintaining sterile fields, managing instruments and supplies, and documenting case data. The position offers guaranteed hours and dedicated support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

Certified Surgery Technician (CST) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification required.
CPR/BLS certification required.
High School diploma or GED required.
At least two years of recent experience in the field.
Must be able to scrub CV cases, solo or with a second scrub, and take call 50% of the time.
Current nursing license for the state of assignment.
Ability to work in a surgical setting.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s/Technical degree preferred.
Open-heart scrub experience preferred.
RN scrub experience and teaching RN opportunities are a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist the surgical team in the preparation and conduct of operative procedures in the operating room.
Create and maintain a sterile field; retract and pass instruments, supplies, and medications to surgeons during cases.
Maintain supplies and equipment, set up instrumentation, and ensure aseptic technique throughout procedures.
Perform instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with the RN and help manage the sterile field.
Transport patients as scheduled, assist with clerical tasks as needed, and help with general housekeeping of the sterile environment.
Document case data and support data collection to meet unit standards of care.
