About The Position

Cardiovascular Technologist – Echo Tech is needed for a 13-week travel assignment in Templeton, California. This is a temporary assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. The role involves performing echocardiography exams, operating ultrasound equipment, interacting with patients, collaborating with cardiologists, maintaining equipment, and conducting treadmill echocardiography when indicated. The assignment offers guaranteed hours and the opportunity for on-call coverage.

Requirements

Licenses: Current nursing license in the state of assignment
Certifications: RDCS or CCI-RCS required; Echocardiography certification preferred; BLS/CPR required
Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent content/credentialing (some certifications require Bachelor’s)
Other: Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in the listed shift and on-call requirements

Responsibilities

Perform echocardiography exams to assess heart structure and function, including imaging of cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels.
Set up ultrasound equipment, place patient on the table, apply gel, position the patient, and acquire and document cardiac data and measurements.
Interact with patients to gather medical history and review records to tailor imaging techniques.
Collaborate with cardiologists, interpreting findings as part of the examination and communicating results accordingly.
Maintain ultrasound equipment, manage supplies, and ensure accurate entry of patient data into designated systems.
Conduct treadmill echocardiography when indicated to evaluate cardiac performance; participate in standard equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
