About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Cardiovascular Technologist (OR CVOR Tech) in Hilo, Hawaii. The temporary assignment is for 13 weeks, beginning 09/21/2026. The role supports a busy hospital operating room that handles a variety of scrubbed procedures, including 1-2 outpatient GI labs. The position involves 16-hour rotating shifts and requires 24/7 call coverage, averaging 1-2 on-call shifts per week and up to 2 weekends per month, with a 20-minute call back time.

Requirements

Hawaii license by start of assignment; if not active, must apply upon acceptance
Minimum 2 years of scrubbing experience in a hospital setting
Ability to work in an operating room environment and adapt to a rotating 16-hour shift schedule
Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements
Travel assignment requires completion of a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract if a time-off (RTO) is requested

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with a mix of outpatient and inpatient procedures is preferred

Responsibilities

Scrub for a broad range of procedures: General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology
Assist with turnover cleaning and transport patients as needed
Maintain sterile technique and assist surgeons with instrument handling and occasioning case flow
Participate in daily OR operations within a small but busy environment and support 1–2 outpatient GI labs
Orient on day shift for up to a week or as directed by management
Be available for 24/7 call coverage, with a 20-minute call back time; typical on-call 1–2x weekly, up to 2 weekends per month
