About The Position

Cardiovascular Technologist (OR CVOR Tech) needed for a travel assignment in Columbia, MO, United States. This is a temporary assignment in a surgical services setting within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing direct support to the heart team in cardiovascular operating room procedures, under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include preparing the CVOR suite, maintaining the sterile field, managing instruments and supplies, assisting with patient positioning, and participating in case setup and breakdown. Effective communication, adherence to safety protocols, and participation in call coverage are essential.

Requirements

Active cardiovascular OR credential or equivalent applicable license per state requirements.
Experience in an operating room environment, ideally involving cardiovascular procedures.
Ability to work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Availability to work the specified shift and participate in on-call coverage (6–7 days per month).
Ability to work in Columbia, MO and contribute to a heart-team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to the heart team in cardiovascular operating room procedures, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Prepare the CVOR suite for procedures, maintain the sterile field, and manage instrument and supply needs during cases.
Pass sterile instruments, anticipate needs, and assist with maintaining case flow and patient safety.
Assist with patient positioning and draping as directed by the surgical team; support equipment and imaging needs as required.
Participate in case setup and breakdown, proper documentation, and adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with team members, contribute to postoperative turnover, and participate in call coverage as assigned.
