Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant
About The Position
We are seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a Locums Tenens position in Hartford, CT. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and call coverage, with a focus on assisting in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries. The position requires performing pre-operative physical exams, assisting in surgery, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, and coordinating care and rounding. The average daily patient volume is 10, and the facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center utilizing the EPIC EMR system.
Requirements
- NCCPA Board Certified
- Active Connecticut License
- BLS, ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Must be able to cover both Saint Francis and Saint Mary's Hospital
- Must be local
