About The Position

The Cardiac Cath Technologist assists physicians with diagnostic procedures and supports team members before, during, and after procedures to help ensure optimal patient care. The role involves caring for patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease in a fast-paced environment where daily work schedules may change. The technologist must perform and report diagnostic procedures accurately and with integrity, and learn techniques quickly and accurately.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Eligibility for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
ACLS certification required within 12 months of employment.
EKG competency testing within the first 90 days of employment and annually: identify six lethal cardiac rhythms with a score of 100% and pass the basic EKG rhythms written examination with a score of at least 85%.
Experience in cardiac catheterization for diagnostic procedures, cardiovascular patient care, radiographic special procedures, and/or hemodynamic monitoring is accepted.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and changing daily work schedules.
Ability to work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease.
Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.
