Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
About The Position
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist works alongside physicians and colleagues to support advanced cardiac procedures and deliver safe, high-quality patient care. The role includes assisting with cardiac and vascular procedures, supporting patients and families throughout their care journey, operating and maintaining cath lab equipment, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining a sterile and safe environment. The position is at Valley Regional Medical Center, which provides cardiac and vascular services including minimally invasive and open-heart surgery, cardiac catheterization, and heart imaging.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (RT).
- One of the following credentials: Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Vascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI).
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of one year of experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
- Prepare and support patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures.
- Operate and maintain advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment.
- Monitor patient responses during care.
- Maintain a sterile, safe environment and advocate for patients.
