About The Position

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides direct and indirect patient care, scrubs for diagnostic and interventional cases, and performs hemodynamic monitoring. The role includes educating patients and family members about technical aspects of procedures, documenting procedures in the hemodynamic system, and supporting supply ordering, inventory maintenance, cost efficiency, and department process improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
BLS certification as required by St. David’s Healthcare policy.
ACLS certification required within 6 months.
RCIS, RCES, or RT(R) license from an accrediting body required within 12 months.

Nice To Haves

Cath Lab or Special Procedures Lab experience preferred.
Associate degree or above preferred.
Current enrollment in an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.

Responsibilities

Scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
Monitor and document procedures in the hemodynamic system.
Educate patients and family members regarding the technical aspects of procedures.
Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
Support cost efficiency and provide information about future departmental needs.
Actively support process improvement within the department.
