Cardiac Cath Technologist RN - Cath Lab - FT - 1st shift

About The Position

Executes appropriate patient care by assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Supports team members before, during, and following procedures to assure optimal patient care. Registry may define responsibilities specific to each registry but does not limit activities performed under direct physician supervision.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current Alabama nursing license.
BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
ACLS certification within 12 months of employment.
Complete EKG competency testing within the first 90 days of employment and annually: identify six lethal cardiac rhythms with a score of 100% and pass a basic EKG rhythms written examination with a score of 85% or higher.
Experience in cardiac catheterization for diagnostic and interventional procedures, cardiovascular patient care, radiographic special procedures, and/or hemodynamic monitoring is accepted.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and changing daily work schedules.
Ability to work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease.
Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.
Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
