About The Position

The Cardiac Cath Technologist RT executes appropriate patient care by assisting physicians with diagnostic procedures. The technologist supports team members before, during, and after procedures to help assure optimal patient care. The role requires adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with changing daily schedules and patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease, while maintaining integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Eligibility for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
ACLS certification within 12 months of employment.
EKG competency testing within the first 90 days of employment and annually: visual identification of six lethal cardiac rhythms with a score of 100%, and a basic EKG rhythms written examination score of at least 85%.
Experience in cardiac catheterization for diagnostic procedures, cardiovascular patient care, radiographic special procedures, and/or hemodynamic monitoring is accepted.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with changing daily work schedules and patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease.
Ability to maintain absolute integrity in accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.
Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
